Work on the Falkirk Interchange to link the Union and Forth and Clyde Canals which included an 0.8 mile extension of the Union Canal to the new staircase locks, the upper Falkirk Wheel basin, a tunnel under the Roman Antonine Wall, the Falkirk Wheel, its Aqueduct and basin and the entrance lock from the basin to the Forth and Clyde Canal.
