Redhall footbridge has no number. The bridge originally carried the Balerno railway branch line which left the adjacent Edinburgh to Carstairs line at a junction close to this bridge and is now a cyclepath following the Water of Leith to Balerno - LUCS B0441 Kingsknowe Rail
This railway bridge at Kingsknowe has no number. It carries the Edinburgh to Carstairs line over the canal. At the Slateford aqueduct, 0.6 miles to te east, the railway is a similar height below the canal as it is above the canal at this bridge. - LUCS B0502 Kingsknowe Road

Bridge 5aa - Dumbryden Road looking west. Prior to the opening of the Millenium link a mile of the canal through Wester Hailes had been filled in. This was the location of the eastern end of the blockage. The orginal bridge 5a can be seen immediately behind this bridge. This was one of six new road bridges and three new footbridges that were built when the blockage through Wester Hailes was removed in 2001 - LUCS B0520 Hailes
Bridge 5a - Hailes Bridge looking east. This original stone arched bridge was buried inside the Dumbryden Road embankment that blocked the canal at the eastern end of Western Hailes until the blockage was removed.
