Bridge 5aa - Dumbryden Road looking west. Prior to the opening of the Millenium link a mile of the canal through Wester Hailes had been filled in. This was the location of the eastern end of the blockage. The orginal bridge 5a can be seen immediately behind this bridge. This was one of six new road bridges and three new footbridges that were built when the blockage through Wester Hailes was removed in 2001
