Bridge 5a - Hailes Bridge looking east. This original stone arched bridge was buried inside the Dumbryden Road embankment that blocked the canal at the eastern end of Western Hailes until the blockage was removed. It now is used as a footbridge. Immediately behind it, is the new Dumbryden Road Bridge 5AA.
