Linlithgow Union Canal Society Museum

The museum is part of the Canal Centre at Manse Road Basin, Linlithgow, on the Union Canal.  It was opened in 1977 and is the only canal museum in Scotland.

Old photographs and documents describe the origin, demise and renaissance of the Edinburgh and Glasgow Union Canal.  Boat models, original tools and equipment, and objects from the working life of the canal are on display.  Natural history information varies with the season.

The museum is open weekend afternoons only (2 - 5pm) from Easter until the end of September, and every afternoon (2 - 5 pm) in 2010 from Monday 28 June to Friday 13 August. There is no charge for admission.

Please see www.lucs.org.uk for other attractions at the Canal Basin.
